Teaching

My first experience with introductory astronomy labs was as an undergraduate lab assistant. Helping the graduate student lab instructors revealed how enjoyable it is to share my love for astronomy. As a graduate student at the University of Iowa, I regularly taught the introductory labs of “Stars, Galaxies, and the Universe” and “Exploration of the Solar System.” More recently, I was the lab instructor for the Villanova University introductory mechanics course for physics majors.

A highlight of my teaching and outreach experience is:

Teaching:

Lab Instructor: PHY 2411 Mechanics, Villanova University, Fall 2023
Lab Instructor: ASTR:1070 Stars, Galaxies & the Universe, University of Iowa, 2020 — 2021
Lab Instructor: ASTR:1080 Exploration of the Solar System, University of Iowa, 2020 — 2021

Outreach:

ALMA Ambassador: National Radio Astronomy Observatory, Villanova University, 2022 — 2023
Chaperone: Green Bank Weekend Trip, Villanova University, 2023
Volunteer: Public Observing Nights, University of Iowa, 2018 — 2022
